I'm 5'6" and the regular (medium) length is perfect with heels, boots, or flats. The only problem I've had so far is that after wearing a couple of hours (as with most jeans that have spandex in them) they stretch out a bit (even though they are a size 5, they seem larger than most womens' size 6). I've refused to go down a size in fear my legs and booty will get too squished. However, if you are more proportionate you may want to take that into consideration and order a size down.
I ordered both the Clean Blue and Hyper Impact washes here, but had to return the Hyper Impact wash. Although the other washes (Show Stopper and Clean Blue) have 2% spandex, the Hyper Impact wash is only 1%. That 1% makes the difference between being able to easily pull the jeans on and button them up with a little wiggle room- and yanking the jeans on and not being able to button them. Again, if you have fairly proportionate legs and glutes this should not be a problem- but know the fabric will feel thicker, tougher, and they will be tighter. The good news is that with the 1% less spandex, they are more likely to hold their shape longer.
If you are interested in trying them out I'd highly recommend it- especially with the special offers (free shipping and returns on jeans) it made an otherwise awful trip to the mall, easy and pain-free :)
